Saving the Reef 1 frag at a time…

After numerous occasions and time cleaning the Coraline off my Tunze Stream Propeller Housing, I decided to give them a little Mod which would reduce the time between cleaning and maybe give out a little more flow.

As far as mods go this is a very simple and effective one.

1.) Remove the Propeller housing from the Pump.

2.) Proceed to remove every 2nd Grid piece, once done you should end up with something looking like this:

Here is a before and after of the Tunze Stream Propeller housing mod.

My main issue of cleaning the coralline buildup has been solved with a nice little welcomed side effect of more flow.

I cannot 100% verify that this gives more flow but buy looking at the movement in the tank there is a noticeable difference.
